In this Inside Story, we feature our dear colleague Simran Singh. She is a Specialist in our Data Integrity Solution Team here at Vsolution. In a four-question Q&A, we will reveal some valuable insides about her role, critical viewpoints, and her motivations for working in the exciting field of data science. Let’s get started.
Let’s meet Simran
What is your favorite part of your role?
As a Data Integrity Solution Expert, it is all about data. I can participate in various data cleansing, data improvement projects from start to finish for clients and projects in multiple industries in the B2B Sector. My work here at Vsolution Agency is not just applying theoretical models; it is very impact-driven and requires a high degree of focus on details. I can use creative thinking to solve data challenges, write algorithms and small programs that I am passionate about, and directly see our clients’ impact. The feedback of our international clients over the years has been gratifying for me. We are regularly pulled into other projects outside of the Data Integrity Solution Team; As data plays a significant role here in Vsolution, it gives us the ability to participate in other projects, e.g., to support the B2B Data Intelligence Team with data modeling or support the Voice of Customer Team to build a sustainable database structure for their customer KPI Scorecards. This makes the role diverse and fun.
It is solving complex customer matters with Data and seeing the immediate impact for our clients.—that inspires and keeps me up every day. Simran Singh
What motivates working for Vsolution besides the critical aspects of your role?
The team spirit and the working environment are crucial motivators for me to come in every day, especially working on challenging projects with tight timelines. Throughout the ongoing pandemic, we are running on a hybrid working model. Working from home can be difficult. Vsolution provides a complete work infrastructure package that allows the entire team to continue working without interruption. Especially over the last 24 months, although the team has grown further, you can feel the team spirit. As well the diversity of our customers we work with. One day you talk with someone in Germany who has more than 20 years of experience in the Life Science Industry, globally responsible for Data Mgmt, the other time you work with a Market Manager in the Food Industry whom you support in narrowing down target group attributes for their next B2B Data Intelligence project. Lastly, the direct involvement of the upper management in various projects, who are really there to challenge and push your thinking to the next level.
What is, was your most memorable project at Vsolution?
I could mention a view of them. One of the most recent projects working with one of our big Life-Science Clients in Switzlernad on a company white Data Integrity Initiative, is very exciting. The client is working simultaneously on an initial cleansing of their entire customer data and a total re-design of their continuous data cleansing efforts. Especially the degree of complexity, multiple data sources, isolated System Architecture between different legal entities, no fully bi-directional interface between CRM and ERP, to name a few, makes this project quite gratifying for me. We all love the challenge. Our Team consisted of Data Solution Specialists, Software Developers, Data Officers—really highlighting the diversity in expertise and backgrounds you come across every day here at Vsolution. Especially the motivation, drive, and inspiration by our client’s leadership team to push this initiative to the finish line make the project truly stand out.
Most critical factors for a client considering a data cleansing project?
For sure, doing a big clean-up without taking care of the ongoing data integrity along the end-to-end journey is one of the big pitfalls which we regularly experience. We have started an article series on that topic based on the feedback of the entire team working for more than 15 years on data integrity initiatives with our clients. I don’t want to steal more of the thunder. We have added the link below in the related content section, don’t miss out on our data integrity article series, and please share with those who might benefit from it.
